I’m Christal DeHay, and I’d love to introduce myself and share a glimpse into my life and family. Professionally, I am an acupuncture physician, herbalist, and homeopathic clinician with a strong focus on women’s health and fertility. My specialties encompass addressing issues such as pain management, hormonal regulation, IVF assistance, and reproductive health. I hold licenses from the Florida Department of Health in acupuncture and massage therapy, and I’m honored to be nationally board certified in acupuncture by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). My journey in holistic medicine led me to earn a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL, in 2011. In 2018, I embarked on a remarkable venture by founding Deep Roots Family Wellness, a vision brought to life with the invaluable support of my family. Our clinic is a haven for holistic healing, where we integrate a diverse range of therapies to cater to our patients’ well-being.

My journey into my current line of work was sparked by a deep fascination with holistic medicine and a personal healing journey that began in my late teens. Initially, I sought conventional therapy to address my struggles with depression, but I soon realized that it merely masked the symptoms without addressing the root causes. Driven by a desire for genuine healing, I delved into alternative methods, including meditation, physical activity, and adopting a balanced diet. To my amazement, I witnessed the profound effects of the mind-body connection as my own body started to heal naturally. As I continued my exploration, I stumbled upon the world of neuromuscular therapy, which eventually led me to the rich tradition of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM’s holistic approach, incorporating acupuncture and herbal remedies, deeply resonated with me. This newfound passion prompted me to pursue a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, enabling me to not only understand but also practice this ancient healing art. Now, I’m dedicated to expanding my knowledge and scope of practice by pursuing a doctorate in nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). This journey allows me to integrate the principles of holistic healing into the field of nursing, providing a comprehensive approach to healthcare for my patients. My goal is to continue making a meaningful impact on individuals’ well-being, drawing from the wisdom of both traditional and modern healing practices.I continue to further my education and nurture my passion as an acupuncture physician. This journey in holistic healing has not only enriched my career but also my personal life, fostering a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose.

On a personal note, I am a third-generation native Floridian raised in Jacksonville. Our home is now nestled in Davie, and our clinic is located in Cooper City, both vibrant communities that hold special significance to my family. Interestingly, part of my family’s roots trace back to Hialeah, and my grandfather would bring my cousins and I to Davie for clogging and country western dancing. It’s amusing how life has come full circle, and now I call this beautiful area my home. Beyond my professional life, I treasure spending quality time with my husband and our 2 sons. We enjoy the outdoors and love going camping as well as to the parks around our area.
